OUR STORY

Hey Stacey was created in 2019 by Founder, Sharna Kalwy because she noticed a missed opportunity in the hair extension market for genuine high quality hair. She found inconsistencies in Hey Stacey's competitors and misleading information given by them so she wanted to provide a range of hair extensions that were truly made with the highest quality hair. Sharna worked previously in the retail industry for close to 10 years, working her way up into a Store Manager's role for a well known Australian fashion retail chain as well as juggling a Senior Fashion Intern role for 6 years within the Australian magazine industry. Sharna had the guidance from trusted people in the hair and beauty industry of Australia to help her when sourcing genuine premium quality hair that fit the brief of everything she wanted in hair extensions. From her peers and partners in Hey Stacey, Sharna learnt everything there was to know about hair extensions and self-educated herself on the start-to-finish production, credentials and business aspects to ensure Hey Stacey's footprint in the industry would make an impact!   
A factor in what sets Hey Stacey apart from other businesses is that all of our hair is sourced and made solely for Hey Stacey which means you cannot get the same quality anywhere else, it's truly unique. For example, our extensions all have the length percentages of 24-28% - this number means how much of the hair is the same in length where our competitors have a percentage rate of 10-14% which is much less. All of our hair has been sourced ethically and made sure that when and if it’s donated, that it’s always approached with compassion and the donor is compensated for their generous donation. We have reliable sources all over the globe providing our factory with high quality remy hair that goes through a structured process to assure the integrity of the hair is always of the highest quality.
